Rowley, Massachusetts! I figured this would be the best place to start since it really is the benchmark by which I compare all others. It really is perfect - lovely setting in rural-ish massachuetts, great mix of vintage, antique, salvaged, junk, and chinese plastic, complete with a pathetic little counter at which you can buy an overcooked hot dog and a burned cup of coffee. We were pleasantly surprised when we rolled up to Todd's Farm, following up on the tip of a coworker. Among the highlights we found a lovely couple selling vintage classroom maps and globes, a salvage outfit with built-ins saved from turn of the century homes, a semi-permanent yard full of salvaged claw foot tubs, farm sinks, and other porcelain and metal ware, along with the standard flea market trash that often hides another person's treasure. Definitely worth the journey. Follow up with some BBQ from the nearby American BBQ and you've got a near-perfect Sunday.
